PLU Chairman Gen Muhoozi Issues New Guidance on Endorsements, Orders All Future Endorsements to Be Done Online

Kampala – The Chairman of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), General Muhoozi Kainerugaba Museveni, has issued new guidance regarding the organisation’s endorsement exercise and ongoing activities.

In a statement issued today, 31st October 2026, PLU General Secretary Twalla Fadil, MP, said that all endorsements in support of General Muhoozi Kainerugaba Museveni as the next President of Uganda shall henceforth be conducted strictly online through the PLU’s official website, http://plu.org.ug.

Fadil said the organisation will open offices at Regional and District level to facilitate online registration, endorsements and issuance of Patriotic Cadre (PC) numbers.

He further revealed that the PLU had started receiving back fully filled endorsement books, and urged all endorsement officers and coordinators to collect the books from Subcounties and safely deliver them back to the Secretariat by 30th November 2026 for compilation.

This, he said, implies that PLU has stopped issuing endorsement books.

According to the statement, PLU will continue conducting its community Barazas with a renewed focus on the anti-corruption campaign, medical camps and provision of legal guidance to members of the public.

The organisation will also officially commence the establishment and opening of PLU offices in all regions and districts across the country to strengthen its presence and improve service delivery at the grassroots level.

All PLU coordinators and stakeholders have therefore been urged to take note of these changes and ensure compliance in accordance with the Chairman’s guidance.
